Monday, 28 Feb 05, I had a colonoscopy test.
The doctor found 3 polyps, which he removed
and biopsied. 2 turned out to be the kind
that, if left untreated, might have "led to
something" (I forget the exact oblique
phrase the nurse used when she called me
on Thursday, 03 Mar, to tell me the results).
The doctor said I should come back for
another colonoscopy in 3 years (when there
is no cause for concern, the interval is
5 years).

My maternal grandfather died of colon
cancer, ca. age 65. He probably never saw a doctor
in his life until he became very ill.

A pounce of prevention is worth a ton of cure!
